The Jumeirah Nanjing is located at No. 2 Yecheng Road, Jianye District, Nanjing, atop the 316-meter-tall building (floors 39 to 67) north of the “Twin Towers” at the Nanjing International Youth Cultural Center in the Hexi area. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the hotel blends the aesthetics of a sailing ship with elements of Jinling culture.
The building’s exterior draws inspiration from the shape of a unfurled sail, presenting a fluid aesthetic through a double-curved, irregular structure. The facade features a unitized curtain wall system comprising more than 2,000 irregularly shaped glass panels. The interior design, helmed by Singapore-based LTW designer Lin Fengnian, is themed “Expressive Jiangnan.” It incorporates landscaping techniques from Jiangnan gardens and employs the spatial layout concept of “a different view with every step,” integrating traditional cultural elements such as Jinling folding fans and Yunjin brocade into the artwork displays. The hotel lobby features a nearly 40-meter-high ceiling and is adorned with a white, streamlined installation and a massive artwork titled *The Yangtze River*, composed of 209 movable panels.
